After perfectly executing a major bank robbery in 1977, Albert Spaggiari (Rouve) escapes the judge’s office and flees to Latin America. Along the way, he meets Julia (Taglioni), a bombshell that falls head-over-heels for this zany fugitive in a disheveled disguise and follows him to the ends of the world. But all the swank and an ideal woman are not enough. Public recognition for his spectacular feat is all that matters, and he vies for the attention of journalists. One in particular, Vincent (Lellouche), turns out to be a cop in disguise at Spaggiari’s tail after some time. Rather than an infamous criminal, we discover through the eyes of Vincent an endearing, giving, happy-go-lucky fellow, but also a penniless, sick man fighting for his life. In this tragicomedy, Spaggiari captures our hearts with his view of a world full of silver-linings.
