The Eldorado is an imaginary country where everything is abundant, and obtained effortlessly. Life there is easy and pleasant. Summer of 1969. The holiday is the epitome of happy times. In the beautiful country we call France, as soon as the sun heralds enjoyment, happy crowds pile up in mobile homes and hit the roads, heading for the salty shores where peace, rest and joy await them. In this movie, Pierre Etaix, through his take on holidaymakers, shows us the France of the late 60’d from a satirical and funny point of view.
